Had a nice lunch with an old friend today. In the past, she and I have been known to meet at local restaurants during her lunch hour (she's a working gal), but not today. Instead, she came over to my house to eat a home-cooked meal (miso soup with tofu, brown rice, and green onion pancakes) -- saving us both money. It was fun and we'll have to do it again soon....

The lunch's ample leftovers will double again as our dinner, when DH and Russian Lass join us. It'll be just a small matter of heating it all up just a bit. Ah, it feels very luxurious to have dinner all taken care of already -- going off to celebrate with a relaxing cup of hot tea and a homemade biscotti....
